Meet the crew.
Nick Alexander - Chairman & Beach Crew Nick is a farmer by trade and ex-Coxswain of the Lifeboat. Nick stood down from Coxswain in November 2009 to spend more time with his young family, but still plays a very active part in the service as crew and Chairman. |

Pam Tidd - Secretary Pam has played very active part in the crew for many years and does a very good job of keeping all of the crew in line at crew meetings. |
|
Brian Hall - Coxswain Brian joined the service as part of the junior crew scheme and has moved upwards ever since. Brian is a builder and gardener by trade and is one half of VJ's disco. |

Dave Francis - Second Coxswain Dave joined the service in September 2002 at the age of 14 and has been Second Coxswain since november 2009. Dave is a qualified RYA Powerboat Instructor and works for the local Nissan Garage, Crayford and Abbs. |

Paul Francis - Mechanic & Helm Paul, or Ginge has been the station mechanic for four years. He works in the local area as a telephone engineer and is a RYA Powerboat Instructor. |
|
Colin Plummer - Helm Colin is currently the longest standing member of crew still serving on the boat. |
|
Simon Hudson - Helm Simon re-joined the service several years ago and was quickly made a helm of the Lifeboat. Simon is a dedicated Liverpool supporter. |
|
Gerry Robins - Junior Helm Gerry and wife Pauline run a bed and breakfast in the village. Gerry has so far made two appearances in the Lifeboat Pantomime and village Christmas Eve Pagent. |

Wayne Ellis - Junior Helm Wayne is nicknamed Dribbley for a reason only known by other members of the crew. He joined the service at 14 and was a member of the Junior Crew before moving up to full crew. Wayne is the current holder of the bent prop award. |

James Ellis - Junior Helm & Second Mechanic James was talked into joining by Second Coxswain Dave and hasn't looked back since. He works for local garage Crayford and Abbs. |
|
Nick Winterford - Senior Crew Nick has enjoyed many years on the service and held many roles including Training Officer and Second Coxswain. |
|
Phil Beck - Prospective Junior Helm Phil has a very experienced background in watersports including surf kayaking. He lives in the village with his wife and children. |
|
Chris Driver - Prospective Junior Helm Chris has been on the crew for just under three years and is loving every minute. He is currently working hard on the Junior Helm scheme. |
|
Andrew 'Bloggsy' Smith - Prospective Junior Helm Andrew has been on the crew for over a year. He currently works behind the bar in the Ship Inn and is training to be a nurse. |
|
Jason O'Toole - Crew Jason works in and around the village with Coxswain Brian and their gardening business. |
|
Sam Hall - Crew Sam is one of the two female crew on the service. Married to the Coxswain Brian, she works in a care home in the village. |
|
Vikki Bensley - Crew Vikki has been on the crew for several years and lives just outside the village with husband Rick and baby Ethan. |
|
Scott Cullum - Crew Scott is head chef in a local pub and has been on the crew for just over a year.. |
|
Steve Byford - Crew Steve has been on the crew for seven years and thoroughly enjoys all aspects. |
